Youth Program

Our Youth Program is on hold.  Pier 1 South Clinton Street, our home berth, is having the warehouse taken down.   The ship had to be relocated to a temporary pier and due to the security plan at this pier we cannot have visitors.  Please check back here for changes.  We do not think we will be back to Pier 1 until late in 2017.  We will post any changes here and on the home page.

Information on the Youth Program

Project Liberty Ship's Youth Program is available on a limited first-come, first-served basis for visits to the ship in 2016. This program will evolve as it embraces growth and change to better provide your youth group with the best possible experience.

Day visits for tours and lunch are available on most Saturdays and are by appointment. All arrangements for tours must be made four weeks in advance of your intended visit.

Due to staffing restrictions, overnight visits are limited to one group per month January through April and September through December. Additional dates are subject to blackout due to Living History cruises, mandatory crew training, or other ship functions.

Overnight visits will require an onsite meeting between the youth group's leadership and our Youth Program staff to go over visit objectives and expectations. The meeting must take place approximately 8-10 weeks prior to your intended overnight to allow PLS time to coordinate the docents and prepare a visit plan. Overnight visits typically run from Saturday to Sunday morning.

Sincerely,

John Jerbi
Youth Program Committee Chair
