Project Liberty Ship is entirely a volunteer organization. From our captain to our newest member, we depend exclusively on the contributions of time and energy from our volunteers to restore, maintain and operate S.S. JOHN W. BROWN, to organize our museums, and to administer the organization itself. Project Liberty Ship urges you to become an active volunteer

Project Liberty Ship is dedicated to the education of all through the preservation and operation of S.S. JOHN W. BROWN as a living memorial to the men and women who built, sailed and defended the great fleet of Liberty ships during World War II. We encourage your membership in the Project as one of the best ways to show your support for our mission.
